I began playing the guitar about eight years ago. I learned fairly quickly and almost immediately began to look for a band to be in. When I was about ten years old, watching a slightly ridiculous amount of MTV, I was infatuated with 80's rockers. As I got older I became more and more interested in actually playing an instrument. I took up the guitar when I was 15 years old and I never put it down. My influences are vast and extremely diverse ranging from rock legends Led Zepplin and Aerosmith to the Deftones and Stone Temple Pilots of the more modern era. The guitar players that influence me are Jimmy Page of Led Zepplin, Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde of OZZY, as well as a large amount of 80's rock guitar players and a few Jazz guys. I have always tried to have my own style, but I think anyone that has seen me play could see bits and pieces of these guys in my playing. I hope someday to become one of these elite guitar players, but right now I am having a blast just playing. Waking Alice is a major outlet for me.
